Should I vaccinate my children?

In Canada, only the Pfizer mRNA vaccine has been granted ‘Interim Order’ status for children 12 and up. The other three vaccines are presently only available for age 18 and up.

Every decision has to balance the benefits against the risk of vaccination against SARS-CoV-2. Unlike other medical procedures, SARS-CoV-2 vaccination does not require parental approval. It is most important, therefore, to have a discussion with your children before they are subjected to coercion and peer pressure to get vaccinated.

There is no better resource than the article written by Dr. Byram Bridle of the University of Guelph on child vaccinations. The index will guide you to the areas of most concern for you and your children.

The other aspect that you need to know is the absolute vs. relative effectiveness ratings of vaccines in children. Search for relative vs absolute effectiveness on this website. You may be surprised to learn that, based on data from the Ontario Ministry of Health, over 98% of children show no benefit of a SARS-CoV-2 vaccination!

The bottom line – there a few benefits from vaccinating children against the SARS-CoV-2 virus, while there are substantial risks. Some estimates indicate that the risks of morbidity and mortality from the RNA  and adenovirus vaccines for COVID-19 are 4- to 5-times higher than from infection with SARS-Co-2 itself for people under 24 years of age, including children and youth. Please note, this warning does not include other vaccinations which have proven safe and effective over years of use.

What exactly is this ‘process’? Simply put, it has two elements: questioning or critiquing what we already think to be true, and then making guesses about how to explain the universe even better.
